In this exciting two day workshop, students will learn to use painting and drawing mediums to study flowers.

We are very lucky to have use of the EDS garden which looks fabulous in the summer!

We will be in the garden studying the flowers from life as much as possible (we hope the beautiful sunshine!) There will be beautiful flowers indoors to study as well and if we need to move inside.

We will explore colour, composition and how to show the contrast and texture of petals, leaves, stalks and backgrounds.

We will have the option of using the photographs as reference to capture the light in case of it chancing throughout the day.

We will work with drawing materials and paint.

- Pencils or charcoal

- Eraser

A choice of pastels or acrylics

-For pastels (set of pastels, pastel paper)
-For acrylics (canvas, paint, small water container, palate) *please note not to bring very large canvases, 30 - 40cm or just over will be the largest you need and one each day will be enough.
