Join us for this fun and informative course designed to help you explore the world of drawing.
Each week we will look at different aspects of drawing and sketching using a variety of materials. Using basic line and tone as a starting point we will progress during the course using diverse subject matter for inspiration. Handy tips and techniques will allow you to create simple portraiture, still life drawings, architectural drawings using felt tips and ink as well as landscape sketching.
The classes will begin with short demonstrations showing basic drawing skills and how to get the best from your materials. Students will then be given the opportunity to try these for themselves in a relaxed and positive environment. We will also look at examples of work from other artists to inspire our drawing.
During the course we will explore the use of colour and try techniques designed to enhance your drawings, setting challenges that will remove the fear factor from creating beautiful finished works.
From five minute sketches to more accomplished work this course led by artist Graeme Milne will offer you the opportunity to experiment and get the best from your drawing.
All materials provided.
