Friday 9th July

10am - 4pm

Colorful Paint

This one day workshop is for children aged 8 - 14 who would like to introduce themselves to the medium of acrylic paint. The workshop will take place in our studio at Great King Street. Taught by artist and tutor Jaya Ogilvie who boasts over 20 years of art teaching experience and specialises in teaching children.

During the first part of this workshop, the children will get to know their paints and brushes, think about different tools that can be used, how to mix colours and practise painting at the easel. Learning about the materials will help your child gain the confidence to paint in acrylics at home!

In the second part of the workshop, the children will work on creating a final piece on canvas or board using all the knowledge they have gained in the first part of the workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to explore acrylic painting under the expert guidance of Jaya.

All materials and equipment are provided. Please wear clothes that are studio appropriate - acrylic paint can be messy, but generally does come out in the wash! Please bring plenty of drinks and a packed lunch.

We will take a break for lunch in the school's garden if the weather is pleasant or in the studio if it's not!

In order to fulfil our obligations to tutors and models, as well as sustaining cash flow to the school, please note that we are only able to offer 50% of each class capacity to those booking with credit. If you are not able to redeem your course credit this term, we will endeavour to honour your credit in the following term. Please read our Refund Policy closely.
