with artist and tutor Jaya Ogilvie

Friday 16th July

10am - 4pm

13a Great King Street, EH3 6QW

This one day workshop is for children aged 8 - 14 who would like to introduce themselves to the medium of watercolour paint. The workshop will take place in our studio at Great King Street. Taught by artist and tutor Jaya Ogilvie who boasts over 20 years of art teaching experience and specialises in teaching children.

During the first part of this workshop, the children will get to know their paints and brushes, along with tips and techniques, and will get to practise painting. Learning about the materials will help your child gain confidence with the medium. In the second part of the workshop, the children will work on creating a final piece from a still life set up using all the knowledge they have gained in the first part of the workshop. This is a fantastic opportunity for your child to explore watercolour painting under the expert guidance of Jaya.

All materials and equipment are provided. Please wear clothes that are studio appropriate! Please bring plenty of drinks and a packed lunch.

We will take a break for lunch in the school's garden if the weather is pleasant or in the studio if it's not.
