This full day drawing & mixed media course with Helen Jackson will run in the studios at Great King Street.
This course comprises of five two week projects in which you will be shown how to break down the human figure into simple shapes and then add expression using mixed media.
During the term we will explore a range of different types of mark-making using pencil, charcoal, ink, pastels and monoprinting.
Every other week there will be a clothed model to draw from in the studio and by looking at the work of different well known artists gain insight into how they portrayed the human figure to inform and give energy to your own drawings.
A4 or A3 sketchbook
A4 or A2 drawing paper
Rubbers-regular and putty rubber
Graphite sticks oil pastels/chalk pastels
20 sheets of A4 carbon paper
White acrylic paint and a brush to apply paint
