This course is suitable for those who are new to acrylics, and those that already have some experience with the medium.
The group will work from both still life set ups and the clothed figure to provide a comprehensive understanding of how to create colour mixes by using the six basic warm and cool colours together with white.
At the beginning of each class students will make thumbnail studies in pencil to gain insight into how composition influences the making of a painting.
Students may also wish to attend the complementary Evolving Drawing course with Helen Jackson on Friday mornings from 10.00am - 12.30pm.
Acrylic Paints: a basic set to include: cadmium red, cadmium yellow, ultramarine blue, lemon yellow, alizarin, cerulean blue and titanium white (any other colours the students have can be included)
