During this course, you will experience some of the many possibilities of life drawing in a relaxed environment. Cécile will help you getting a better understanding of the ways of representing the human figure and building up your drawing skills. You will be given tips to help you sharpen your way of looking and you will experiment with varied materials.

You will draw several models and will have the chance to draw long and short poses and work in various sizes.  You will learn how to use a wide range of materials, from the traditional charcoal to pens and even brushes, be prepared to be surprised!

Complete beginners are welcome, as well as more experienced students.


Material list:

  • A graphite stick (progresso) 6B, 8B or 9B 

  • A pot of waterproof indian ink (Winsor and Newton preferably-with the spider on the packaging)

  • A watercolour brush, round, size 8 or approaching (synthetic ones are fine, like the da Vinci brushes with the bright green holder. Don't spend a fortune), and a big brush if you have one.

  • A 4 colour biro

  • A sanguine and  a sepia pencil  (conté) 

  • A double hole sharpener
