Service Description

Students can either work from the studio window or bring along their own photo to use as a reference. If you do bring a photo, make sure that it is clear and printed up fairly large. We’ll be using acrylic ink, a beautiful and versatile medium that can be used with a brush, a pen, and in washes. You’ll have the chance to try all three of these approaches in some warm- up exercises at first, to get the feel of it. Then we’ll move into doing a series of representational works. Find out which way of working suits you best! Materials: Pencil, eraser and sharpener Black, sepia and indigo acrylic ink Watercolour brushes, small and large, including one which can be used for washes. If possible, a Chinese ink brush Pencil and eraser Watercolour paper Tape. An apron! Please note that ink does not wash off clothes.
