Service Description

Wednesday the 20th April - Wednesday 22nd June 10 weeks LANDSCAPES This​ term in the all-day class we will be going to various locations in and around Edinburgh to develop a visual understanding of the landscape and our environment. Through the mediums of both drawing and painting the student will gain an opportunity to engage with the particular characteristics of the area to bring out its particular qualities. The course is structured into five two-week projects. In the first week we will be visiting a specific location to make comprehensive drawings in our sketchbooks from which, the following week, paintings will be created in the studio A list of locations and materials required will be emailed out to the students prior to the beginning of term. Before booking, students should note that this class will require students to be walking and drawing outside for several hours. This course will be 'on location' in and around the city and in our studio at Beaverhall Art Studios, 27 Beaverhall Road.
