Service Description
25th June to 13th August 8 weeks Online Zoom + Padlet, instructions sent to participants upon signing up In this course, students will explore how 'form' is created in drawing, in a step by step approach to drawing. This is course is suitable for any skill level. You will find that when you do come to your own drawing practise after the course has completed, the you will, or should have a new found ease at approaching your subjects... This is a free-ing and important skill to learn, as it enhances our own drawings when we come to draw portrait for example, a tree in a park, our dog lying by the fire....a drawing of our own hand... this training in drawing, could be considered what 'scales are to music' that once mastered, support creativity and freedom of expression with the sound foundation they provide. Over the course of 8 weeks, we will look at 5 Bargue drawings (after Charles Bargue) and then go on to make our own interpretations of 3D plaster casts. Each will will see a new task of developing complexity, that we draw together online before students continue with in their sketchbook at their own pace before the start of the next lesson. Each student will also email their drawings to the tutor via Padlet at the start of their next lesson, where Holly will write up some individual feedback for you to consider.
