Service Description

What influences us and what do we want to make art about? Discover how artists develop ideas and have a creative journey of your own. If you are a keen creative looking to hone your skills, and develop your personal artistic style then this is the course for you! Over the 10 weeks, artist and tutor Jaya Cauchy Ogilvie will give you the support and guidance to realise your creative ideas and help you discover your inner style. We will learn how to develop projects through research, drawing development, portfolio building, personal tutoring and discussing questions and topics together. We will look at works of art, how the artists approached their ideas, processes and art philosophies and movements. Drawing and making can help reveal things about you, the way you think and see the world around you. If you ever wondered what it is like to live in the mind of an artist – look at their work, make work and look at the world again with a new perspective. There will be demonstrations, personal tuition, and group discussion as well as plenty of time to devote to creating your own artwork. Basic materials are provided, but you are encouraged to bring along your favoured materials and brands for use in the classes.
