Service Description

A Brighter Palette: Putting the Colour into Watercolour Join renowned watercolour artist David Forster RSW for this two day workshop. This workshop is suitable for those with some watercolour experience. Colour in watercolour is not just a matter of hue, or a theory based on a colour wheel. Colour exists as a quality of pigment, of the material itself. From opaque colours to transparent, granulating to smooth, this weekend workshop will open out the inventive and expressive qualities of this most versatile of mediums. Alongside an exploration of the ways in which the brush can be loaded with one, or more than one, colour, it will lead the student to a richer understanding of their craft, and the imaginative potential which lies within.
