Service Description

In this full day course with artist and tutor Helen Jackson, students will work in a variety of media to produce confident drawings and paintings. This term we will be continuing to develop and refine our personal responses and aims when drawing and painting the life model in a studio environment. Designed in two separate halves, each comprising of a five week module the student will begin by drawing from the life model in one pose for a continuous two week period in order to gain mastery and understanding of the human form. Following this, over the subsequent three weeks, each student will create one or more acrylic or mixed media paintings that further develop and enhance their personal objective in their current creative development. This is an intensive and sustained dive into life drawing and painting offering the student a unique opportunity to play, experiment and learn in an easy, enjoyable environment. The intention is that each student will create artwork which expresses their personal perspective on the human body in whatever style or technique feels appropriate at this time. The course has expert guidance from the tutor. Our classes are small so there's plenty of opportunity for one-on-one discussion with the tutor. Materials List - Students are asked to bring their own materials to class each week (a week by week list will be sent before the beginning of term)
