Service Description

Wednesday Zoom + Padlet, instructions sent to participants upon signing up Watercolour is a “moving” medium. We can be proficient by making good decisions, both in anticipation of a desired effect, and then in response to whathappens when pigment is applied. Designing the portrait, while maintaining the joys and characters of this particular medium seems a daunting task. But having a constructive, step by step method will lead you through milestones that build a proper form and likeness in a very approachable way. In this course, we will analyze this method, including everything from making a solid under drawing, discovering light, shadow, and temperature relationships, while developing tonal hierarchy and brush techniques that express the unique stylistic flair of watercolour! This course will be lead each day by short demos, and divided into segments of concentration, with personal guidance throughout class.
