Service Description
All materials provided. Children paint with fresh flowers every week. Understanding botanical art is about more than learning techniques. It is about learning to observe, ask questions, make thoughtful artistic decisions, and gradually discover your own way of seeing and interpreting the natural world. Designed for students wishing to start or continue their botanical art journey, this course builds confidence through guided practice, individual feedback, and carefully chosen botanical subjects. Through observation, drawing, and watercolour, students strengthen the core skills of botanical art while exploring their own artistic strengths and developing an increasingly personal approach to their work. Each session combines practical demonstrations with structured exercises, encouraging students to deepen their understanding of botanical art while enjoying the creative process. Oleksandra's specially developed Botanical Art teaching diagrams simplify complex ideas, making learning clear, engaging, and accessible. Personalised feedback supports every student in building confidence, refining their skills, and making thoughtful artistic decisions. Suitable for beginners as well as students with previous experience in botanical art, this course offers a supportive and inspiring environment in which to develop skills, enjoy the process of learning, and continue growing as an artist. As an artist Oleksandra works in watercolour, pencil and other media. She is a participant of many international exhibitions in Ukraine, Italy and the UK as well as a number of solo exhibitions. Her great passion is Contemporary Botanical Art and drawing portraits. She lives with her daughter in Edinburgh.
