Life Drawing: Contemporary
with artist & tutor Leigh Chorlton Fridays 10am - 12.30pm
- 200 British pounds£200
- Great King Street
This class will focus on the importance of composition, whilst also working with various drawing techniques, and using different materials, to depict the figure. We will look at what you aspire to in your own drawings by looking at various other artists work for inspiration and guidance, asking questions of ourselves about what we think makes a successful drawing, and what we want to convey in our own work. Leigh Chorlton set up Whitespace gallery in Edinburgh, and has taught various classes in drawing and painting. He has an MA in contemporary art Theory, and a first-class honours degree in Sculpture, both from Edinburgh College of Art. He has exhibited in various group and solo shows, including a solo show, 'Retro-Renaissance', as part of Glasgow international in 2010.
