Jenny Matthews RSW

Since graduating from Edinburgh College of Art in 1986 with a degree in Drawing and Painting, Jenny has been a professional artist exhibiting around the UK and abroad. She is known for her colourful and sensitive depictions of flowers and plants, both cultivated and wild.

Jenny exploits the properties of watercolour, making its intrinsic qualities part of her paintings. Jenny was twice shortlisted for the ‘Marche d’Acqua’ international watercolour biennial prize, and has won 2 prizes at the Royal Watercolour Society in London. She is both a member and council member of the RSW and has been leading the Scottish group of artists at the annual international watercolour convention ‘FabrianoinAcquarello’ in Italy since 2017.
